Arrival at Auschwitz
Arriving at Auschwitz in our private train was a tad weird to say the least. Our train was taking us from Russia, Latvia, Poland through Eastern Europe, finishing up at Berlin. But a stop at Auschwitz followed by a visit to Oskar Schindler's Factory - Schindler's Museum at Krakow was indeed melancholic and very moving. We think Auschwitz is a place everyone should visit !
The Auschwitz concentration camp is at Oświęcim, Poland, not far from Krakow. The Auschwitz concentration camp was a complex of over 40
concentration and extermination camps operated by Nazi Germany in
occupied Poland during World War II.
Of the 1.3 million people sent to Auschwitz, 1.1 million were murdered.
