Birdsville
A quick trip from Mitta to check out the results of the excellent rains in the Diamantina catchment. In excellent weather we flew to Birdsville via the Strezlecki Desert. Birdsville was quiet, too hot at this time of the year for the Grey Nomads. We enjoyed the Birdsville Hotel, food great and the Bakery is now back running.
We took a trip down to the Goyder Lagoon - a large swap at the end of the Diamantina. On the way home via Bourke we again crossed some impressive scenes, expectially over the Channel Country.
