During COVID we acquired a Sellina 'telescope', not the traditional type that when connected to a camera is a very complicated setup.  Sellina is the new astrophotography technolgy a clever computerised system that uses a technique of taking hundreds of pics at the one time.  It's an observation station incorporating telescope + camera, replacing the traditional eyepiece with one or more iPhones/iPads.  So mutliple observers can all watch at the same time. You can find the technical details at their website : https://vaonis.com/stellina
Below is the M16 Eagle Nebula,  a young open cluster of stars in the constellation Serpens. The Eagle Nebula is a stellar nursery: a place where  new stars are born. It's about 7,000 light years away from Earth (for  comparison, the nearest star to our sun is about four light years away).  The Eagle Nebula contains three enormous pillars (a few light years high), growing like stalagmites from the floor of a cave.
And another:   Below, The Andrommeda Galaxy (M31). Around 2.5million light years from our earthly planet and the nearest large galaxy to the Mily Way. Scientists think that Andrommeda and the Milky Way will collide in around 4 million years and we won't be to see it !    It's so exciting to be able to take these pics with the Selinna.
